Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is an upcoming film based on the comic book series Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley. The film is directed by Edgar Wright and stars Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Universal Studios contracted Edgar Wright to direct a film adaptation of Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life, the first part of comic book series Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley. In May 2005, the studio signed Michael Bacall to write the screenplay for the adaptation. By January 2009, filmmakers rounded out its cast for the film, now titled Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

In May 21, 2009, O'Malley confirmed that no material from Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour, the sixth Scott Pilgrim volume, would appear in the movie, as filming on the movie had already begun before he had written the book. While he had given ideas and suggestions for the final act of the movie, he admitted to that some of those plans might change throughout the writing process and ultimately stated that "Their ending is their ending".

Filming began in March 2009 in Toronto, Canada and wrapped in August. Beck, Metric, Broken Social Scene, and Cornelius will all contribute songs to the soundtrack, while Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich will serve as the film's music supervisor.

The film is now set for August 6th release in the UK and August 13th release world wide. On March 25, 2010 a one-minute and twenty five second teaser was released via Apple.com. A two and a half minute trailer, backed with Invaders Must Die by The Prodigy, was released on the official Scott Pilgrim facebook page on May 31st, 2010.

Well, usually what they release overseas sometime takes months to get to Philippines. But no worries, when the movie releases I will sure find a way to provide a live movie streaming of it or a download link for you to watch over and over.

By the way, do you think this movie and Indie (independent movie) or Mainstream? Cause usually indie movies had actors who are completely stranger to us but yet this is so epic that it has it's own video game being develop by UbiSoft!
